Our Story

Power Tool Company was founded in 1953 by Fred Whitson Sr., a WWII veteran with deep roots in the logging industry. Fueled by a passion for outdoor equipment and a vision for the future, he built a company that would become a trusted name in the Southeast.

Our Partners

Starting as a retailer of McColloch chainsaws, Power Tool Company grew to become a distributor for industry leaders like Stihl in the 1970s and SCAG Power Equipment in the early 1980s.
